Healing treatments performed using ozone gas, an active oxygen molecule, are called "ozone therapy." Ozone therapy, or as the Germans call it, "blood washing," is used in the treatment of many diseases. The most important feature of ozone therapy is that it can be administered to the body via different routes, tailored to the patient and the condition. Ozone therapy is a safe, effective, and scientifically grounded treatment. Although it is a fairly old method of treatment, the number of documented beneficial effects continues to grow every day.

How Does Ozone Therapy Affect the Body?

It increases the formation and function of white blood cells (defense cells that protect against infection). It kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is the most powerful natural disinfectant that leaves no residue. By strengthening the immune system, it increases resistance to infections. Through its immune-regulating properties, it has a healing effect in the treatment of diseases arising from immune system dysregulation. It inhibits the proliferation and spread of rapidly growing cancer cells. It increases the elasticity of red blood cells (the cells that carry oxygen in the blood), speeding their passage through capillaries. It increases the blood's capacity to release oxygen to tissues, improving the oxygenation of organs. It accelerates intracellular respiration (the process by which a cell obtains the energy source it needs to function). Through its detoxifying properties, it helps clear chemical substances from the body (accelerating the elimination of heavy metal poisoning such as lead and mercury, pesticides, drug residues, acidic substances, and agricultural chemical residues). It has an analgesic effect by promoting the release of the body's natural pain relievers. It reduces blood viscosity and improves fluidity, thereby softening plaques on vessel walls and dissolving blockages in small blood vessels, regulating circulation.

Which Conditions Does Ozone Therapy Help With?

  • Circulatory disorders
  • Lower back and neck pain
  • Intestinal diseases
  • Skin diseases
  • Muscle disorders
  • Joint pain and osteoarthritis
  • Diabetes
  • Allergies
  • Performance enhancement in athletes

What Are the Main Application Methods of Ozone Therapy?

  • Major Autohemotherapy;  The most widely used method, in which 50-200 ml of blood is drawn, mixed with a determined dose of ozone, and then reinfused into the patient.
  • Minor Autohemotherapy; 2-5 cc of blood drawn from the patient is mixed with a determined dose of ozone and injected intramuscularly.
  • Subcutaneous; A determined dose and volume of ozone gas is injected under the skin using a fine-tipped needle.
  • Ozone Gas Administration into Body Cavities; Ozone is administered rectally, vaginally, or insufflated into the ear.
  • Intra-articular Ozone Gas Administration; In joint disorders, a determined dose of ozone gas is injected into the joint using an appropriate needle.
  • Ozone application into or around a mass or lesion
