It Arrived With the Pandemic... Almost Everyone Has It... The Causes of Forgetfulness
Unlike the forgetfulness and the disruption of a person’s daily tasks that this condition of brain fog causes, it is actually a warning signal that something in the brain is out of balance and needs to be corrected urgently.
As more patients experience brain fog, it has been observed that the trigger for this condition can be nutrient deficiency, as well as certain lifestyle conditions that are not good for the body and mind.
Unhealthy and Unbalanced Nutrition: An unbalanced or entirely improper diet that contributes to disruption of the gut flora is thought to be one of the main causes of brain fog.
For example, if you eat too many carbohydrates and too much sugar, your insulin level rises. However, your insulin level drops back down again shortly afterward, which can cause a rapid decline in brain performance. In other words, you cannot restore your thinking by consuming sugar.
The most important condition for avoiding and steering clear of these fluctuations, besides healthy and balanced nutrition, is to avoid sweets, sugar, honey, chocolate, and alcohol, which represent refined, processed empty calories—these should be considered non-negotiable.
Healthy and balanced nutrition, on the other hand, means a diet that is low in sugar but rich in nutrients. Consuming vital, nutrient-dense foods should be non-negotiable for us. Paying attention to seasonal and organic food consumption, chewing food thoroughly, and drinking enough of the vital water we need daily are all very important. When you eat properly and in a balanced way, your brain is adequately nourished with vital substances throughout the day, so you will experience little or no symptoms of brain fog. However, eating too little high-quality fat can also weaken your mental performance.
For the brain’s functions to work well and be protected, foods containing omega-3 should be regularly included in the diet. Among the high-quality sources of omega-3 fats are oily sea fish, hazelnuts, coconut oil, eggs, avocado, and krill oil.
