What does the data say in Turkey: The three pillars of immunity

The immune system is the complex defense network the body develops against harmful external agents—viruses, bacteria, fungi, toxins, environmental chemicals, and damaged cells. This system's function is built on recognizing and eliminating foreign molecules called antigens.

The immune system fights not only external threats but also factors that disrupt internal balance. For this reason, the immune system functions more effectively in individuals with a high capacity for regulation.

THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL SUPPORTS OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

1. Micronutrients: Fuel for Cellular Defense

According to 2025 data, the micronutrients essential for the cells of the immune system are as follows:

Vitamins: A, B2, B6, B12, C, D, E, folic acid

Minerals and trace elements: Zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, iron

Secondary plant compounds: Polyphenols, flavonoids

Antioxidants: Protect cell membranes against oxidative stress

These substances are of critical importance for the proliferation and differentiation of immune cells, the regulation of inflammation, and pathogen elimination.

2. GUT FLORA AND PROBIOTICS

Approximately 70 percent of the body's immune cells are located in the gut mucosa. For this reason, the balance of gut flora is a cornerstone of immunity.

Probiotic supplements (particularly those containing multiple strains) support the immune system.

Fibrous foods, fermented products and prebiotics encourage the growth of natural probiotics.

3. QUALITY SLEEP AND EMOTIONAL REGULATION

7-9 hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep per day directly affects immune function. Stress hormones (particularly cortisol) suppress immunity. Therefore, maintaining vagotonic balance, relaxation techniques (breathing, yoga, meditation), and micro-relaxation moments throughout the day support the defense system.

SUPPORTING THE IMMUNE SYSTEM WITH NEURAL THERAPY IN REGULATION MEDICINE

Neural therapy provides regulation at the level of connective tissue and the autonomic nervous system. This is extremely important for the modulation of the immune system.

Segmental Stimulation: The reflex responses of the immune system are activated through injections to the segmental regions corresponding to the spleen, thymus, intestines and bronchial mucosa.

Interference Fields and Correcting Them: Identifying and treating areas in the body that create continuous stress, such as chronic inflammation, focal teeth, or old surgical scars, relieves the immune system.

Vagal Tone Support: Regulation of the vagus nerve through neural therapy creates an anti-inflammatory effect, particularly in autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammatory processes.

The immune system is like an orchestra. Neural therapy, meanwhile, works like a "neurophysiological conductor" that restores synchrony to this orchestra.

A GUIDE TO STRENGTHENING THE IMMUNE SYSTEM IN DAILY LIFE: NUTRITION

2-3 servings of fresh vegetables and fruit per day
Seasonal, colorful plates: Each color contains different antioxidants
Fish that are a source of omega-3: Salmon, sardines
Gut-friendly foods: Homemade yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut
Herbal teas: Ginger, sage, clove, rosemary

Things to Avoid

Processed sugar and high-fructose foods
Excess calories and abdominal fat
Packaged products and trans fats
Unnecessary use of antibiotics and painkillers

EXERCISE, HYGIENE AND EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE

EXERCISE

Moderate-intensity but regular exercise (30–45 minutes, 4 days a week)

Avoiding excessively intense sports (can suppress immunity)

IMMUNITY THROUGH COLD STIMULUS

Brief cold showers after a hot shower stimulate circulation and the lymphatic system

BASIC HYGIENE

Regularly washing hands with soap

Avoiding touching the face, eyes and mouth area with hands

FIRST DEFENSE: BREAST MILK AND NATURAL PROTECTION

Breast milk contains immune proteins such as immunoglobulins and lysozyme

Exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months lays the permanent foundations of the immune system

BEING OVERWEIGHT SLOWS DOWN IMMUNITY

Fat tissue is a source of chronic inflammation. Obesity causes the immune system to become overstimulated and subsequently exhausted.
This can result in both susceptibility to infections and delayed post-surgical healing.

2025 SCIENTIFIC OBSERVATIONS: IMMUNITY AND MICRONUTRIENT LEVELS

Epidemiological studies conducted in Germany, Switzerland and Turkey show that:

60 percent of the population has a vitamin D deficiency,

40 percent has a zinc deficiency,

30 percent has a B12 deficiency,

and 25 percent has low selenium levels.

This situation prevents the immune system from functioning optimally. For this reason, targeted micronutrient supplementation is recommended, especially during the winter months.

For more detailed information and recommendations, you can find extensive information on the immunological effects of nutrients, lifestyle regulation, and neural therapy support in my books "Antienflamatuar Beslenme Rehberi" (Anti-Inflammatory Nutrition Guide) and "Regülasyon Tıbbında Nöralterapi" (Neural Therapy in Regulation Medicine).
