Intermittent Fasting

The body cleanses itself of harmful toxins through the liver, kidneys, urine, stool, respiration, and sweat via the skin. However, particularly with the increasing intensification of industry, toxins have accumulated in the body much faster than the metabolism's self-cleansing process can keep up with, and the organism has become unable to cleanse itself.

For a healthy and vigorous life, it is necessary to consciously help the body from the outside and ensure that toxins are eliminated from the organism. This process, called detoxification, can be carried out in several ways. The most effective of these is the strict fasting method.

One of the most frequently asked questions about nutrition today is the number of meals. In fact, the system that will provide physical and mental comfort is eating a single meal a day and fasting one day a week. Intermittent fasting diets, which relate to the number of meals, have also begun to become quite widespread.

THE HEALTH FAST

The "Therapeutic Fast," also known as the "Health Fast," became known in Germany thanks to Dr. Otto Buchinger (1882-1970). According to Buchinger, the purpose of a fasting cure is to cleanse the body of disease-producing substances. In other words, the health fast is a natural detox process.

Based on various experiences, we can assume that in the first stage, disruptive, disease-causing substances found in cell groups — or more precisely in connective tissue — in other words, pathological seepage, toxins, aged layers, deposits, foreign substances, inflamed areas, weakened elements, and, in short, substances with negative effects, are broken down and eliminated.

Health fasting cures should generally last 1-4 weeks.

To clear the intestines of food residue, one begins by eating only fruit and vegetables for at least two days; after this period, the bowel is cleansed with about 30-40 g of sodium sulfate (a natural laxative). In the current period, this process is supported with two sessions of colon hydrotherapy.

On health fasting days, herbal tea is consumed at breakfast, vegetables or vegetable juice at lunch, and fruit juice at dinner. Staying away from solid foods as much as possible is an important recommended approach for health fasting.

The health fast has been observed to be beneficial for many conditions, including rheumatism, febrile infections, skin diseases, heart conditions, arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, kidney diseases, chronic constipation, chronic headaches such as migraine, venous circulation disorders, varicose veins and the resulting lower leg ulcers, obesity, epilepsy, neurosis, and depression.

The health fast is thought to be beneficial for protecting health, extending lifespan, and preventing cancer. It has also been observed that after a health fasting cure, both women and men experience a significant increase or improvement in sexual performance as a result of the toxins eliminated from the body.

Many clinics today, particularly in Germany, use the Buchinger method.

Patients at these centers are usually also cared for psychologically and are prepared for a balanced and adequate nutrition program to be followed after treatment.

While people initially apply in order to lose weight, after observing the positive changes taking place in themselves, they end up making this a part of their life and also convincing their family members to adopt it.
