Experiencing a certain amount of stress is normal for everyone, and each of us has a different tolerance for stress. Overall, however, stress is a significant problem. Rather than learning to live with this problem, we should look for ways to get rid of it. Because if we sit back with our arms folded instead of fighting against stress, once we cross our personal stress threshold, we open the door to many mental and physical illnesses. What's more, since we struggle to digest the food we eat while under stress, we cause our body to become acidic. For this reason, we must tirelessly search for ways to cope with stress. However, while we take on the fight against stress, we must not forget that stress also has positive effects on people.

FIGHT AGAINST STRESS

Stress is an important part of life's struggle. That's why we must learn to master stress and find ways to turn it into something beneficial for us. In fact, if there were no stress at all in our lives, we might grow bored of living a monotonous existence. What we need to do, then, is let stress motivate us into action while not letting ourselves be overcome by it. It's also not really possible to generalize about stress. Everyone copes with stress to the extent they can tolerate it. The sources of stress also vary from person to person. A problem that is a source of sorrow and worry for one woman may not affect another woman at all. Adapting to a certain routine in working life is a source of stress for some people, while others may become stressed precisely because of an irregular working life.

One of the biggest causes of stress is not living in the present moment. Yet just as we need to free ourselves from constantly settling accounts with the past, it is equally pointless to dwell excessively on plans for the future. We should live today to the fullest, feel the richness of every moment in every cell of our body, and make the most of every moment we have. Because time waits for no one. Yesterday is already the past, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift placed in the palms of our hands. With this perspective, we can prevent stress from taking over our sense of self.

THE TYPE OF STRESS MATTERS

If you are living under stress, you should not ignore it. Many people, in an effort to defend themselves against stress, choose to deny it, believing this will free them from their troubles. In reality, what you need to do is identify which events cause you distress and investigate how your body reacts to stress.

SETTLE ACCOUNTS WITH YOURSELF

We all face various problems throughout our lives, but the real problem is not knowing how to solve them. This leaves us alone with our worries. Yet unless we stop living in a constant state of worry, there is no way for us to free ourselves from stress.

Experts note that stress largely develops from a sense of self-pity. As we become more helpless in the face of life's difficulties, we begin to pity ourselves. Everyone has a child hidden away in a corner of their inner world, and we need to find that child and reckon with them internally — or rather, make peace with ourselves. We should see life not as a race but as a beautiful journey whose every second should be savored, and we should plan our time in a way that allows us to balance our responsibilities with our social life. We must remember that the moment we are living is the most valuable time there is, and the person we share that moment with is the most valuable person there is.

Our goal should be to live in the present with our whole heart. Then happiness will be as beautiful and as natural as the air you breathe. A person who lives fully in the moment is already happy. This is the prescription both for a deep, uninterrupted sleep and for spreading happiness across a lifetime!

In addition to living in the moment, it also helps to take advantage of the wonders nature offers us. In particular, plants that lift our spirits and relax us, foods that give us energy, and a lifestyle that brings us happiness are among the best ways to cope with stress.
