If you have these three symptoms, watch out for brain fog
Have you become forgetful?
Are you having difficulty concentrating?
Are you experiencing fatigue and forgetfulness even though you haven't overexerted yourself physically or mentally?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the probability that you have "brain fog" is very high!
WHAT HELPS AGAINST BRAIN FOG
Brain fog is a common condition in which you find it hard to focus, your concentration is stolen from you, and your thoughts even become clouded. If you are experiencing brain fog, you may not be able to think clearly, may forget the simplest things, and may feel like you have lost your self-confidence.
Chronic fatigue and brain fog describe very similar clinical pictures. You are neither the first nor the last person to experience brain fog. Know that you are not alone in this.
Before the pandemic, brain fog was not this widespread. Today, the number of patients experiencing similar clinical complaints is increasing every day — not only among those with Covid and the resulting Long or Post-Covid syndrome, those with unhealthy and unbalanced diets, those with poor-quality sleep, those with disrupted gut flora, those with Candida albicans (yeast fungus), and those who cannot manage stress, but also among those who have had vaccinations.
But let us also say from the outset that, just as you are not alone in this, it is possible to recover from it, because this is not your destiny.
MAIN SYMPTOMS
It is thought that the underlying cause is small inflammations in the brain, primarily mitochondrial insufficiency, which we call chronic inflammation. You may have great difficulty clearly gathering and processing your emotions.
In brain fog, the limbic system, where our emotions and memories are processed, is particularly affected.
If there is an imbalance here — for example due to oxidative stress or nutrient deficiency — the following symptoms may appear:
- Difficulty concentrating and disorientation
- Forgetfulness, distractibility
- Confusion and mental clutter
- Difficulty focusing or lack of focus
- Fatigue syndrome, chronic fatigue and burnout
- Headache
- Indifference
- Anxiety
- Sleep disorders, difficulty falling asleep, or constant drowsiness
- Inability to finish what you start, tendency to leave things half done
- Forgetting where you put something or being unable to find it
- Forgetting what you meant to do while working
