Athletic performance is at its peak in a well-hydrated body.

Start your new day by drinking a glass of water. This one glass of water will help flush your kidneys and support your detox system in functioning healthily throughout the day.

It has been explained that water sipped slowly, but at short intervals, up until an hour before breakfast, has therapeutic properties for many chronic diseases.

Drink at least eight glasses of water a day; if possible, drink healthy alkaline water. The cleaner and healthier the water you drink, the more beneficially your body will be able to use it.

When you feel like snacking on something, drink a glass of water instead of a snack and wait a little while. You'll see that your body was asking for water, not food!

Try to understand what your body is telling you — if you have a headache, a stomachache, feel exhausted, or simply don't feel well, drink a glass of water before taking any medication and act according to the result.

If you have a headache, don't reach for medication right away. Only if water alone isn't enough, dissolve an effervescent magnesium tablet in water and drink it. You'll be surprised to discover that your headaches go away even without taking a painkiller.

Never drink water or watery beverages while eating; drink water half an hour before and half an hour after a meal.

We also get water from the food we eat, because food contains water too. If you choose organically produced products, the quality of the water you get along with your food will also be better.

Water is not found in the same quality and characteristics in every food, and the same is true for the water present in our bodies. The water within us has the power to continuously change itself according to our state of mind.

Eat wisely. You don't need to obsessively calculate calories, carbohydrates, and fats. Just avoid acidic and unhygienic foods.

Remember that your liver has to clear the bacteria, viruses, and chemicals in the food and drink you consume. Help your liver perform its essential duty by drinking plenty of clean, high-quality alkaline water.

Stay away from ready-made foods, fast food, carbonated drinks, and any processed food containing additives. Of course, the real culprit here isn't so much the "food" part as the "fast" part, because eating quickly is the true source of many ailments.

Try to enjoy the meals you eat, chew well, and stop reading the newspaper or watching TV while eating. Examine what you're eating closely, and engage with it in a kind of dialogue.

Don't drink too much tea, coffee, or alcoholic beverages. Since these types of drinks are diuretics, they cause fluid loss in your body. If you find yourself having to drink more of these than you should, drink plenty of water — alkaline water if possible — to compensate.
