Abstract:
This article presents a new technique for the diagnosis and treatment of the first rib, developed by Dr. Hüseyin Nazlıkul and successfully applied since 2006. This technique is suitable not only for manual medicine practitioners but also, in particular, for neural therapists and acupuncture specialists who do not have comprehensive training in manual medicine. The method can easily be applied by any physician and offers both diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities. The first rib plays an important role in thoracic and cervical biomechanics, and when dysfunctional, it can cause various symptoms. Obstruction or irritation of the first rib can lead to compression of the stellate ganglion, which in turn can cause clinical symptoms such as thoracic outlet syndrome, headache, and sensory disturbances in the arm. This article emphasizes the importance of combining manual medicine and neural therapy in order to increase the effectiveness of therapeutic injections and to identify and treat potential first rib blockages.
